Cole Kelly and Mandie Bumble chose my short story, “And Here We Go,” to be read by Joy Emerson as part of Episode 7. I wrote this after Brock and my 61-day cross-Canada road trip in 2016. That trip was our last act of defiance against Brock’s terminal cancer diagnosis. When we returned, he entered palliative care.
